The fox snorted and looked around a bit before is molded its form into that of a medium sized dragon, it breathed flame on the cobra. The cobra burst into flame and the now dragon let it burn. When the flame had extinguished itself she picked at the remains with a wry smile. "Nice trick." She hissed sarcasticly or the witch and looked around a bit again, she shifted back to a fox and with another poke at the remains of the cobra she headed north.

(lol sorry I had disappeared, I got suddenly grounded thanks to my stupid younger sis, so I couldnt get on at all, but now I am back! ^^) Sora had watched all of this, her arms folded across her chest. She laughed softly as she watched them, finally speaking. "Well that is interesting." she comented, her voice soft, and calm, fluent in speech, like water flowing from one word to the next.
Sapphire blinked as it saw the shape-shifter then seemed to rumble with laughter. She stayed curled about Sora's shoulders, her tail looped gently about the Elf's neck. She'd stay that way untill they needed to go anywhere in a hurry. ~It's a shape-shifter.~ she thought to her bonded with amusement.
Sora nodded, ~Yes it is.~ she replied, finally sitting down in the shade of a cactus. She was wearing black, so it was fairly hot, but she didnt appear to out-wardly mind. ~It seems there are several others here in this part of the desert. Imagine our luck.~ she thought back to the dragoness.

The fox stopped, ears pricked. She had heard something...She spun around and looked across the wasteland. She cocked her head in a very fox like way and ran over the hot sands till she was close enough to make out the features of the two sitting in the shadow of a cactus. She cocked her head and a brow in unison. A dragon? She asked herself, this was worth investigating. She shifted to her normal self, crouched low in the desert sands, taking no mind of the burning of the hot sand beneath her feet. She peeked her head up from behind the dune, her deathly pale face framed by whispy raven hair. Her eyes were violet as in all her other forms. She wore usual garmets, a black blouse with matching pants and a billowing cape behind her. She eyed the dragon then stood, making her presence known with a meaningful clear of her throat. "Hello." She said, her voice was sharp, commanding in a way. As she spoke one could see her pointed canines, fangs.

Sora looked up, eyeing the figure nehind the dune. Her hand stayed upon her bow, and she would use it if need be, though it didnt appear she would have to. "Hello, I am Sora." she said, a smile upon her curved lips. "This is Sapphire." she added, reaching up her other hand and stroking the dragon.
Sapphire grinned, showing off her sharp silver teeth. ~Hello.~ she thought to the other, still rumbling softly with laughter. It finally died away, and she dipped her head in greeting.

A young maiden perched on top of a cactus, watching the creatures below her. She was a falcon girl, with long, sandy colored hair that had faint, black stripes in strange patterns. Huge, soft wings with a similar pattern where spread out over her, shielding her dark, brown eyes and peachy skin from the harsh sun. she was wearing a light, ivory, short sleeved shirt that had wisps of fabric at the hems. Her white, silk, pants had so many folds, it looked like a skirt. She had a necklace with a small, velvet bag the same color as the navy bracelet with painted charms showing the sun, planets, and phases of the moon. At last, she said "what brings you to my homeland?"

Sora glanced up at the maiden, a smile on her carved lips. "Greeting, we are travelers that seem to have wandered here." she replied in a friendly manner.
Sapphire also looked up at the other. ~Hello, is it alright for us to continue to travel through, or rest?~ she asked. Depending on her mood, she could more polite than her bonded, or at times even more impatient.

The strange girl shifted so her black claws -no bigger that a normal falcon's- could grip the sharp plant better. "I suggest you wait until dusk to travel, or you might end up like that snake", she said, gesturing to the pile of ashes, "and I'm afraid there is no oasis in the area, but there is one about a day's fly away. So what might your name be?"

Sora smiled and laughed softly. "Ah, well the sun shall not bother us to much. My name is Sora." she replied, a smile on her face. She bowed to the other, still smiling.
Sapphire grinned dragonically, revealing her silver fangs. ~I am Sapphire.~ she thought to her, dipping her head in a polite greeting once more.

(sorry this post is so short) "No need to be so formal. After all, we are all travelers", she said as she stood. "so what is your destination? If it is not too far out of the way, maybe I can go with you." Jumping to the ground, she added, "Forgive me for not introduceing myself, I am Haruka Hotaru." (Ha-roo-ka Ho-ta-roo)

Sora tilted her head to the side, thinking. "Pleasure to meet you Haruka. I believe that we shall continue on to the oasis." she said and the smiled. "It might be nice to have some company." she said, chuckleing softly.
Sapphire nodded. ~Nice to meet you. I guess we might be flying then?~ she asked, looking between the two of them.

A horizon of gilden sand played illusions before the light of this travelers eyes, taunting the empty leather waterskins strapped haphazardly across his bare, sun-beaten back as he staggered across the desert wasteland. His tunic, of a light woolen grey encirled his forhead to shield the blindingly hot sun from his eyes, but even hit did not hold sweat against his forhead for more than a moment; the dry air claimed all moisture among the rolling, endless sands.
Oaths and curses shot through his mind, but it was clear that Jaidan used every ounce of strength that he had left to simply take one more step, a step towards what seemed like an improbable chance and dashed hope. After four days of traveling this desert, he hadn't met one person since the night he had been assailed by a small band of thieves. Petty thieves, for they had fled at the first sight of his knives and threatening stance, but they had managed to take the last of his food and water.
"I'm a light-blinded fool if there ever was one" He coughed, a sputter of blood crawling from the cracked corner of his lower lip. At least it is still daylight, he thought with a sickly twisted grin. Daylight, though he cooked in the dry heat, was far better than the fierce, relentless cold of nightime. If my blood doesn't boil by midday, it will freeze at sundown. And with such resign, his subconicous pulled him into a cold faint and his once=strong body collapsed in a heap of hot, heaving flesh.
If only he had been able to see a small group of travelers, not 30 metres away...

Forgetting the question, Hakura tore a small branch from the cactus with her claws and took flight, racing to save the traveler. Arriving at his side, she shaded him with her wings and squeezed cactus water onto his mouth. Ripping some of the soft meat of the plant, she put it in his mouth and said "chew" as she heaved his body into the air, something she couldn't have done if he wasn't starving to death. landing next to Sora, Hakura asked,"Is he ok?"

Sensation rushed suddenly back to his wearied mind, dehydration coursing through every part of his body and pain like tapered shards of fire tearing down his spine. Cobalt eyes flared with a sputtering, bloody cough and his firm hands grasped and the ground beneath him, hot sand falling through his fingers. Something sticky and gut-wrenchingly sour had been forced across his dry tongue, and he might have spit it out if a cool, familier sensation hadn't washed through his mouth. He didn't need the softly spoken command to chew to set hit jaws in motion.
He flinched sharply as talons wrapped around his bare sides, wondering delisively if whom he thought was his savior might only be a vulture. He was lifted into the air, even the rush of breeze created by massize wings lukewarm by the time it touched his burned skin. Their flight was a short one, and within moments Jaidan had been rolled onto his back, sand-clotted eyes just sharp enough to make out the shadowy forms of three travelers. "The Light bless you." He choked, mustering a weak smile that seemed out of place upon his hard face.

Haruka dug in the sand, uncovering a supply bag. Opening it, she took out a wooden bottle and two turquoise fruits that almost seemed to sparkle. "Here", she said, passing them the the man, "they might taste strange, but they will help you regain your energy."
