Sora froze as she heard this, her eyes were closed so she could better see what Sapphire saw. Even though her eyes were closed, she could 'see' with her mind, to make sure she wasnt going to be caught unawares by any gaurds. That would be a very bad thing. Another would be if they spotted Sapphire, at her size, about the size of a cat, she could be mistaken for the hatchling. They'd only see she wasnt if she grew to normal size. Even as she thought that, the thought that a missing dragon egg was very bad indeed.
As Sapphire heard this, she growled very lightly. This angered her, that a dragon egg, one of her own race, had been stolen, and might be harmed. She continued to listen, trying to remember to stay hidden from sight.

Aliva's ears perked up. Hearing the soft growl, gazing upward she spotted a small blue creature. Growling she returned her gaze to the king. He nodded and motioned for her to leave, which left him to ponder her words. And think for the next action to send to his troops. Aliva looked up again and watched the blue dragon. Yet she didn't notice this, since the rafters were to far up for her to see well.
The male elf shifted his weight to his other side. He herd the soft murmuring of another near. He looked at the guard then back to the floor.

Sora saw through Sapphire's eyes as Aliva was dismissed, she leaned back against the wall, sighing almost inaudibly. This was bad news, but at least Sapphire and her hand't come up in the conversation. She felt the guards shift position, as she continued to watch them with her mind. She closed her hands tightly about her bow, so that any stray ray of light woulnt reflect off of the sapphire's embedded in her palms.
Sapphire continued to watch, though she was unaware she had been observed. She knew the elf was looking upwards though, and crouched lower against the rafter. When the coast was clear, she would leave this room, but untill then she was pretty much stuck.

Aliva exited the hall and walked toward the exit. Striding right passed Sora. Her eyes were consentrated on the double dorrs. The male elf bowed to her and turned back to where Sora stood then followed his "master" out. They walked to there horses.
"How did it go?" the male asked looking at Aliva then to the castle doors. "Great!" Aliva lied and tapped her horse's side. They left in a slow trot.
Once in a while the male would looked behind them, making sure they weren't followed.

Sapphire swooped down, and silently flew to where Sora hide. She landed on her shoulder and crooned softly, worried.
Sora raised her hand and stroked her friend, then crept along in the shadows. This was going to be difficult, for the male appeared suspicious of something. She slipped over the wall once more, then leaped atop the houses, silently following them over the rooftops. Sapphire flew near her shoulder, her eyes were keener, and helped her navigate.

Aliva continued to walk, her head held high and her back sraight. Traveling down the main road, the two took a sharp turn down a road of houses. then they stopped in front of a small house, the green grass in the front covered with dew and the peach top rusty and broken at the edges. It wasn't really home but it was Aliva's "hideout" or "getaway". no one ever came to the house or even lived in it. The male elf jumped off his saddle and took a big whoof of freash air. Then looking down the streets. Aliva patted him on the back at the two of them entered the small house.

Sapphire flew ahead of Sora, and swooped down inside the house after them. She curled up in a corner, and tried to hide as best to could.
Sora nimbly followed, dropping to the earth beside the house. She crouched under a window, to listen and occasionally peek in. She male elf was very catious, and that could spell trouble. She was still curious about the woman. She now appeared to be a warrior like herself.

Aliva shut the door after Sapphire entered and walked into the kitchen. Setting a pot of cold water over the stove. The male elf sighed and plopped down on Aliva's small worn out couch. "It;s been a long day" he said and set a ouch on the wooden coffee table-like thing. He glance over at the window and back at the couch. Aliva came back into the room with a loaf of bread, two tea cups and the pot of hot tea. She pour him a cup, then her self. the two sat down looking at their tea.
"The king was very upset..." Aliva mutter and took a sip of tea, breaking the silence.

Sora stayed low, hidden. She was still holding onto her bow, her pack was slung over her shoulder, but out of the way. She sat down, and leaned against the wall, worrying that Sapphire might be found out.
Sapphire watched them, her tail tip twitching occasionally with nerves, though mostly because she was fairly angry. ~He has every right to be upset!~ she thought to Sora, anger coloring her mind voice.
~I know.~ Was all that Sora thought back, not wanting to distract her bonded to much.

Aliva turned and looked around the room, thinking she had herd the sound of movment. Shrugging she sip her tea again and looked at the roof. Her worries had grew more and more, each time she visited the capital. The man elf shifted were he sat and stood up. The soft sound of flapping wings could be herd. He walked to a window and opened it, allowing a large barn owl to enter. Attached to his left leg was a scroll, tied on with a dark purple ribbon. He gave Aliva a worried look and let the owl hop onto his arm. The window remained open.
The owl cooed a little as the male untied the ribbon, releasing the scroll. He gave it to Aliva who examined it then looked down. Slowly she unrolled it, as a purple puff of smoke hissed out of it. The sign of evil.

Sapphire eyes the scroll, it didnt look good. She hissed softly, as it gave off the presence of evil. What she was really worried about at the moment was the owl, they always seemed to be able to tell when something was potentially dangerous to it, say a dragon. She shrank back in her hiding place even more.
Sora used the open window to peek into the room. She knew she couldnt enter, there was no place big enough to hide her. Besides that, she couldnt become invisable like Sapphire could in water....well she couldnt appear invisiable at any rate. She sighed softly with frustration as she leaned against the wall once more. She suddenly scuttled to the other side of the house, so when they released the owl they wouldnt spot her.

Aliva turned to the soft hissing Sapphire made then back down to the scroll. It read:
Hello my dear,
We now have the dragon egg back. It will take more then just a bunch of elf warriors to get it back. Once this little hatchling arrives, we will train it to become truly evil as we are. And if you want this little one back, you and you nation will surrender and give us the kings fortune, and all his land.
Signed, Lord Derox
Aliva growled and threw the parchment on the table. She burned inside with furrie and anger. the owl hooted and fluttered to the table, pecking at the loaf of bread.

Sapphire hissed as she sensed Aliva's thoughts. She abandoned trying to hide, and flew to the table, landing lightly. She was about the size of a cat now. She used her talons to grip and pull the paper out, then let Sora read it through her eyes.
Sora cursed silently. ~It's a ransom note for the egg, if they don't get what they want, they'll turn it to evil.~ she told her bonded.
Sapphire hissed again, her fury rising. She raised her dazzling head and glared at the owl, bareing her fangs, and hissed again at it, hoping to make it fly away. She then turned her head to Aliva, her azul colored eyes dazzleing with anger. Sora was still hidden outside, but Sapphire was now completly visiable and before the two elves.

Aliva gasped as the dragon came out of nowhere. the male quickly stood up and looked at Sapphire. He reached a hand to the scroll and snatched it out of the small dragon's talons. The owl just sat there staring at Sapphire with wide aburn eyes. Ruffling his feathers it pecked at the bread again. It seemed unafriad of Sapphire.
"What did that dragon come from" Aliva said looking around the room. "And how did it get in here?" she said walking around the room. The male read the scroll and put it in his pocket. shrugging he stared down at Sapphire.

Sapphire followed Aliva with her eyes, after shooting another glare at the owl. ~I came through the door. The same as you.~ she replied, there was still anger in her voice, though she was beginning to calm down.
Sora sighed, figuring she might as well reveal herself. She paused for a moment, then looked through the window. ~Should I come in?~ she though to Sapphire. ~Maybe.~ was the reply she got.
