The mountains of Derox were an amazing place, dark mountains shadowed the elven nation while it proved the power of the dark God Derox. One hundred years ago the mountains had not been there, dividing the elven and dark nations was a long river, fed by a glacier up further. The water was a thin border and the elves, who were not violant, attacked the Dark Knights, hoping to rid the world of the 'scum'. Derox saw this as a problem and within a day mountains stood, of course, not without consequence, the lands three leagues from the mountains became desolate and the soils became poisened, the elves of course, were outraged. The Dark Knights deemed this a miracel and fron then on they worshiped Derox and named their nation as well as the mountains after the dark god.

Night Shadow was in a particularly good mood this day, even though a terrible storm was raging outside the safety of his lair. Today, he had finished his lair, it was complete in all ways, he had used dragon magic as well as his claws to dig it out of the mountain, transform a dingy, small cave into a lavish lair, with three treasure rooms that he soon hoped to fill as well as servents quarters and a cozy room for him to sleep in. Though, no dragon's home was complete without magical traps so they could sleep soundly for hundreds of years without worry of enemy dragons attacking them in their sleep, so he also created those. The entire process took fifty years for him to complete, to him it was a very short amount of time. Folding his large black wings to his back he walked into his treasure room, the only one that was full. "Soon I shall have my treasure." He hissed and curled up on the pile, using magic to affix his favorite gems to his soft underbelly.

A golden figure grazed over the horizen, gliding over to the strongly built mountains. Clouds swirled around his large body, as he hid beneth their lonley shadows. Dark eyes darting around nervously scanning the area below. Once in awhile he would allow his shadow to peak out from behind the dark one the clouds casted. Flapping a few times to keep his weight leveled. He made a shallow dip and flew lightly over the splashing water crossing into the dark nation. Ivory fangs glinted in the dim light.

The black arched his neck and sniffed experementally. He felt as well as smelt another dragon near, a rare happening. He walked through the narrow swisting tunnels of his lair until he came to the exit, his tail lashed behind him as he looked into the storm, it was s cold storm though not cold enough to snow. He shivered inwardly, so long since he had seen another of his kind...so long.

Spotting a near by dragon he rose higher. Still hidden in the deep shadows of the clouds. Black smoke puffs, exhaled from his nostrils. Hissing he flapped strong trying to withstand his heavy weight. His tail lashed through the clouds, causing wisps of gray puffy fluff the detach from the large puff. Gold scales cover beneth blackish-gray shadows. His eyes narrowed as he consentrate on the rarly seen dragon.

The black reached out with his mind, trying to feel the presence of the other dragon, he felt the colors of another dragon, they were muddled and he couldnt tell exactly how the dragon felt. He reached again towards this dragon and spoke mind to mind, the most intimate form speaking. Why, Hello there. May I inquire to the reason you are in my mountians? He asked somewhat smugly.

The golden beast, tried to shake away the precence in his mind. It was a strong force, being pushed deep into his feirce brain. Your? mountains. Growling the brute spiraled downward into a thicket of moutain. His tail quickly folling behind his body.

Night's Shadow snorted and dug deeper into the dragon's mind. Yes, My mountains. I've lived here my entire life and have claimed them. Go find your own. He hissed, folding his wings against his body to conserve heat while glaring upward, looking for the dragon who dared to invade his mountains.

He swerved up and down through the many trees. Well, I don't care whos mountains or territory this is... He shot this angered thought to Night's Shadow, then putting a strong bold brick wall in his mind. Golden scales hidden beneth the many shadows of the trees.

Night's Shadow growled and swung his neck out of the cave, looking around with black orbs flecked with crimson. Roaring in annoyance he flapped his wings and descended into the forest, his nose keen for the smell of dragon. He flapped around, getting soaked in the process. The rain had whiped all smell from the sky as well as the ground. Growling he returned to the cave. I'll find you in the morning. He said coldly.

The dragon grutted and ignored the thought. He would find shelter that night far from the cave Night's Shadow stayed in. The rain continuesly fell from the sky, landing on the beast's cold hard scales. Finding a large cave, big enough for him to lay down in. He crawled to the back curling up in a corner. Blue flames errupted from his mouth, slashing the ground. Once the cave was warm his layed down, the fire inside his body would keep his warm for the rest of the night. Folding his wings close to his body, the brute fell into deep slumber.

Night's Shadow had slept in the mouth of his cave that night, slept lightly mind you, incase that Gold came back. He awoke near dawn, the sun shining in his black orbs. He yawned and stretched his wings leasuirly before flapping his way out the cave and looking for some breakfast. He spotted an elk far below in the mountan forest, he trimmed his wings and dove, catching the elk in his ready talons. He also caught something else, the scent of that damn dragon. Roaring he spiraled downwards, following the scent to a cave, he dropped his meal in the mouth and walked forward, his ebony claws clicking on the stone floor. I thought I told you to leave. He said angrily searching for that dragon's colors. His own were black with streaks of red and a few splotches of yellow, angry, annoyed, and curious.
