The man slammed Jyp into the alley wall behind the Black Steed tavern in the town of Kishka. Jyp's cat-like eyes were wide with fear as he struggled. "Lemme go!" he yelped. his cat-like ears were flat on his reddish-brown hair, and his paws/hands were scratching at the man's gloved hands. His footpaws dangled a few inches off the ground, and his tail kept curling around his legs. The attacker had a grip on Jyp's dark green, almost black, tunic. "Where is it?" the man growled at the cat-sprite. Jyp's green eyes darted, looking for any means to escape. "What're you talking about? I don't have it! It's not my fault!" Jyp began babbling incoherently. His reddish fur-covered form was shaking visibly. The man drew a long knife with his other hand and held it against Jyp's nose. The cat-sprite shut up immediately, eyeing the knife warily. "Where is my sword?" the man asked again. "WHAT sword?" Jyp asked."You know what I'm talking about!" the man almost yelled into the night's cool air. "You stole it, theif!" Jyp shook his head wildly. "No I didn't! I have no idea what you're talking about!" The man grunted."Does your memory need refreshing?" He put the knife against Jyp's neck. "It was a broadsword. Bigger than you, that's for shore" he said, looking at Jyp's three-foot form. He continued to describe it. "It had a ruby in the pommel, and it was in a black leather scabbard. WHERE IS IT?!" He yelled the last sentence into Jyp's face. "I don't know!!!" Jyp said. "I have no idea what you're talkin' about!" He looked at the man, trembling with fear. "I betcha the Shadowers stole it, though!" Jyp added as the knife pressed into his throat. "Shadowers?" the man asked. Jyp nodded. "Who're they?" the man asked, taking the knife away from Jyp's throat. "They're a theives guild, down underneath the sewers. Can you let me go now?" He asked the attacker. The man dropped him. "Show us where they are." he demanded. "What?!" Jyp yelped. "No!" "Yes." The man leaned down, the knife flicking between Jyp's eyes. "You'll show us. Now."

Two swords clashed together, sending off sparks. The owner of one spun away, her red cloak swishing and swirling. They were both cat-sprites, and twins, it seemed, as they looked almost identical, except that one was a boy and the other, a girl. They both had fiery red hair, but the girl's was longer. As they fought, one would notice that they both had paw-like hands and feet, and that there were two large, fuzzy ears peeping out of their hair. They both wore the same thing, red cloaks, pants, and tunics. They were both covered in short, smooth reddish-brown fur, and had tails, also. They were performing their swordfight in a huge tent, with a fire in the middle of the ring, which was surrounded by a low, three-foot high wall. Spectators crowded the inside of the tent,as this was one of the Returner's many shows, and almost the last one for that day. "Woops, sorry Kassi." the boy cat-sprite said. "Didn't mean to get your footpaw." There was a scratch on the girl's, Kassi's, footpaw. "Quite alright, Tassle." she replied, dodging a thrust.

Sheathing his sword, the reptilian creature surveyed the damage he caused, his long, whip-like tail flicking about. Littering the alley around him, several dead soldiers lay, blood pooled around them. His amber eyes flickered as the dragon-like human heard noises from the streets. Wings flared from his back, almost as tall as he was. The draconian flapped them once, twice, then jumped up and landed on top of a building. His strange, cloth-covered hands seemed to have four thick and taloned fingers, and he wore no shoes to covered his large, clawed feet. Shadowclaw hissed in irritation. He needed a new cloak as the winds tossed a peice of brown, ragged material around fretfully. He wore a dark brown tunic and pants. Shadowclaw, the draconian, was half-dragon, half-human.
