Daneidi fell quiet, shuffling her footpaw restlessly in the rich loam of the forest floor, underneath the layer of dead leaves she'd already brushed aside with her nervous habit. Mountains, yeah... The north was where all her trouble began. She liked being down south, anyways. The warmth rejuvenated her, and was no problem, with the cool breezes that foudn their way through the trees here. She hated the bitter cold of the mountains, but they were exhilerating enough to spend some time in in the summer... which was what she ahd done. And look where /that/ landed her.

The snow leopards glittering eyes wandered to Daneidi, where they watched her hind paws move the loam of the forest floor. "Troubled thoughts?" she asked her, slight amusement audible in her tone.

Daneidi nodded her head briskly, making it clear that she wasn't going to answer any more questions on the subject. She was still staring idly at a spot on the ground next to Roki, when a loud, shrill cry split the thick air in the forest. Daneidi started, and started shaking her head, praying she was wrong. "Oh no, not him... Not now!" Her eyes strained against the leafy canopies around them, as if her sharp eyes were no here good enough to see what she was looking desperately for.

Roki glanced around also, nervously. Icestorm looked quizzically at Daneidi. "Somethin' wrong, lass?" he asked her. His tail swished nervously, and the Highlands cat's ears lay flat against his cranium.

She sighed, her dark brows knitting together. Saying no would be stupid, and only prompt further questioning, but saying yes would be the dumbest thing possible. "Nothin' I want you to know 'bout," she answered after a brief moment's thought.

The snow leopard glanced about as she heard the cry. She unfolded her arms once more, for they had folded once more, and stood up, no longer leaning agsint the tree. She swept her gaze over the otehrs before it settled once more on Daneidi. "Obviously we should know. Whatever it is, it sounds close, you are apparantly afraid of it, or something close to it. Plus you are standing before us, so I am pretty sure whether you tell us or not, we shall find out soon." she said. Her ears flicked about once, her tail twitching, and then she was still, once more leaning back against the tree with her arms folded over her chest.

She smirked. "So smart, aren't we?" She chuckled, eyeing the leopard. "As a matter of fact, it's my past, not my future, that I don't wish to talk about, and therefore, you certainly have no need to know." Her amber eyes glinted wickedly. She reminded ehrself that this was the attitude that had gotten her in trouble in the first place.

The snow leopard raised an eyebrow, still chuckling. "As you wish, M'Lady." she said sarcasticly. She bowed to her, though this time it held a now sarcastic theme to it's motion.

Daneidi chuckled as well, shaking her head in one hand. "Well, it was nice chatting with all of you, but it occurs to me that I ought to take my exit while I'm still ahead." She turned to walk away, already looking for the quickest way to get out of view. Preferrably up in the canopy.

Sakuya watched her walk away, following her movements. "As you wish, though I'm sure we'll bump into you again." she said, a feral grin upon her maw.

Roki hurried after Daneidi. "If it's your past, then it don't matter, but I ain't gonna let you get slaughtered in front of me. Bad form. Can we help?" she asked the cat.
Icestorm looked at Sakuya. "Quite a bit morbid, are ye lassie?" he asked, his eyes half-closed.

Sakuya chuckled softly, shaking her head. She still leaned agaisnt her tree, not having moved yet. "Not morbid at all. I just have a sense of humor." she said, still grinning. "The morbid one is the one talking about slaughter." she added, flicking her tail in Roki's direction with another chuckle.

The golden cat turned around, the fine dark lines around her eyes crinkling in amusement, and a faint hint of gratitude. "I appreciate that." She actually was afraid of getting cut down. She was still wanted, after all. It wasn't as if there was no price on her head.

"Eh, the wanted must stick together." Roki replied, grinning. "Just 'cause I don't got a poster with my face very badly drawn don't mean I'm not wanted."
Icestorm smiled. "Ach, Roki? She's not morbid unless she dead."

The snow leopard chuckled again, grinning. "Well, I guess you are right. Besides, I suppose we cant let them wander off by themselves. They'll get themselves into trouble for one, and two it sounds a bit more interesting than simply wandering around with no purpose." She said as she leaned forward, standing straight up finally. Her tail uncurled from the front of her legs and flicked behind her, her arms lowering to her sides.
