Ok, as Aubry described it, yeah, this is kind of Anthro animal thing...Anyways, this is a regular medieval/fantasy world, dragons, magic, wizards and all that, but there's no humans or elves, races like that. Instead, the dominant species are felines (big cats as well as house cats), canines (Wolves, dogs, and such) and foxes. Yeah, it kinda stinks, huh, for an rp idea and all...Oh well! ^^

A large white cat strode through the Half-Moon forest. The dappled sunlight fell upon his white fur of his heavily muscled torso as he walked, his bare footpaws padding silently upon the ground. He wore no tunic, but he did wear a pair of light blue pants, which were bound up right above the ankle, so as not to get in the way of his footpaws. A belt ran sash fashion across his right shoulder down to the opposite side of his wait. It also was blue, and strapped to the belt, on his back, was a huge broadsword, which was made with a strange light blue metal. In the center of the hilt, and as the pommel stone, were smooth, polished sapphires. The cat jumped, paw halfway to the blade's hilt, when a voice hailed him. "Oh, now, is that Icestorm?" A red-orange fox was sitting against the trunk of an elm tree. Her black-tipped tail swished beside her legs, which were covered by a pair of black pants, bound above the ankle, like the cat's. Her brown eyes sparkled with mischeif. Her black-tipped ears were pricked, and a gold hoop was in one of them. She wore a maroon cloak and a sash 'round her waist of the same color. Her tunic was black, also. Around her neck, like a black collar, was a ring of black fur. "I hope we meet in friendship this time?" the fox asked hopefully.

High in the trees, a tawny cat crouched as low as her legs would allow, balanced precariously on her perch with her tail wrapped carefully around her footpaws and one clawed hand digging in to the bark. Her other hand held a thin blade, a weighted iron point at the end of the pommel. She waited patienlty, scanning the ground below with sharp eyes, hopeful for prey. She was getting hungry, and there was neither a town nearby to buy food, nor gold in her purse to buy it with. Her amber eyes, ringed with dark gray, nearly glowed in the soft forest light in the canopy. Her ears, also with dark markings, twitched back and forth as she listened carefully for any rustling she might be able to catch. She wore a brown sleeveless tunic with a leather vest, and dark leggings that came down to her heels. A full quiver of arrows and a finely built, powerful shortbow hung over her shoulders, and a loose, thick belt at her hips carried several specialized blades, all sharpened and ready to go.

Icestorm, the cat, smiled. "Aye, lassie." he said, a slight Highlander accent affecting his speech. "Sorry 'bout last time, just a bit confused, Roki." Roki grinned. "That's good. Anyhow, can't find no work up in the Highlands? What brings you done here, mate?" Icestorm purred. "Pickin's are slim up in the mountains, lass.Nothin' much to do, now that them wyverns're all hiding."

With a deep sigh, she relaxed her tensed limbs, letting her tail droop down, flivking back and forth. "Nothing here," she complained to herself, tucking the blade in to its double sheath and stretching her arms and legs. "An afternoon's worth of hunting, and nothing to show for it." She started skillfully down the tree, swinging downwards and dropping on to the branch below. In moments, she was back down on the ground, crouching low in the high undergrowth around the tree, taking in the sharp, sweet smell of dew and spring.

(Me shall join!) A snow leopard padded quietly among the trees on large paws, her sparkling ice blue eyes looking about with interest. She loved the forest, though she was more at home in the mountains, so full of snow and ice. Her extremely long fluffy tail flowed behind her, occasionally flicking from time to time. She wore black leather pants, low cut, though they weren't bound up at the ankle, instead they hung long. She also wore a black leather top that was long sleeved. There was a silver sword across her back, an aquamarine set in the pommel. Carried in one paw was a bow, the other swung slightly at her side as she walked. Also on her back was a quiver of arrows, a belt with a silver buckle was strapped around her waist, hanging about her hips, the buckle towards her side instead of in the middle. Attached to it was a pouch, which carried a small amount of gold, and a small dagger, which she could also use in a fight. Her name? Sakuya.

Icestorm held his paw up, just as Roki started replying. He listened intently for a moment, then let it drop. "What's the matter, Icestorm?" the red fox teased. "Mountain-livin's got you tensed?" The cat glared at her, then replied, "Ah see yer still carryin' that honkin' huge piece of wood." It was Roki's turn to glare as she picked up a huge boomerang and strapped it to her shoulders. It was gigantic, but surprisingly lightweight. She also grabbed a pike. "Come on, are we going or not?" she asked icily. "Going where?" Icestorm asked, confused.

Slowly, the golden cat straightened, brushing a stray leaf from her vest, before looking around. She pricked her ears up, listening intently. She smiled, as she heard soft, padded steps nearby. At last, some prey! she thought, heading that way slowly and quietly, her pads hardly making a sound as she jumped from patches of dirt to rocks and back again, avoiding dried leaves that would crunch under her paws. She was so eager to find some good food at last, that she nearly fell over as she saw a white cat and dark-colored vixen coming out from behind a tree in the distance. They were the movement she'd heard? Disheartened, she squatted low in the brush, keeping an eye on the small white shape, since it was easier to see from here.

Roki walked without replying, and Icestorm just shrugged and followed her. "What's eatin' ye, lassie?" he asked good-naturedly. "Sorry 'bout thet..." Roki grinned at him. "Ah, nothing, matey." she said, her tail swishing. The cat scowled at her, and she giggled. "It's fundoing that to you, Icestorm."

As they passed her, the tawny shape straightened a little, wondering to herself why on earth she was hiding. The reason hit her with a jolt, but she chose to ignore the whisper in the back of her mind, jesting her. "Because you're wanted, you foolish cat. Anyone you can't trust your life to is your enemy, including a pair in the woods who don't even see you." She shoved the taunting voice into the back of her mind until it silenced, and flicked her tail in annoyance. Still crouched low, she took a step, and cursed herself for her carelessness as a dry stick broke with a loud snap under her weight. She was too busy berating herself to remember to duck back down in time.

Roki glanced sharply at the cat, as did Icestorm. The white cat drew his sword, but Roki stopped him and walked towards the Tawny cat. "Hello, mate!" she called, her tail swishing. She padded over towards the bushes, sharp eyes picking up the details of the cat's face.

She turned, flicking her tail nervously. Her dark gold eyes were wide, slightly stunned. She blinked, shaking her head a few times. Ok, so they didn't recognize her. Atleast for now. No need to give them reason for suspision though. "'Ello, there," she said warmly, taking a large step over a thorny vine as she made her way somewhat towards the fox.

Icestorm growled in his throat, but he put his sword up. Roki half-closed her eyes contentedly. "So," she said, smirking slightly. "I see they haven't caught you yet, have they?" Icestorm walked up beside Roki, looking at the wanted cat suspiciously. "Who're you, lassie?" he asked gruffly.
