Harabi continued to watch the figure and the stag fill their waterskins. They looked peaceful enough even if there was some tension in the cloaked figures stance. Harabi guessed it was from Sapphire's approach. So she returned her attention to Sora.

Once her skins were filled, Arilyne stepped back, sitting down on a moss-covered boulder near the lake. She unslung her shortbow and quiver, resting them within easy reach as she took out her pack, finding some food for herself. Sometimes, she envied Barlin. She wasn't sure they had travelled to a place where he couldn't find some shrubbery to eat. She had to always worry that she had enough to support herself, in the case that they ran upon some place lacking in food she could eat. She cursed her stomach for being so questionable, compared to an animal's.

Sora shook her head, and smiled. "No thank you, I have already eaten." she said, then glanced at Harabi's fair. "If you would like, Sapphire can catch some fish for you. It must be more appatizing than that." she said with a soft laugh. She picked up her bow and pack, then walked down to the water's edge. She set them carefully down, then glanced towards the cloaked figure and the stag. "Apparantly you must be a friend." she said with a smile to both of them. Sapphire had told her that the stag was more intellegent than any normal deer.
Sapphire rumbled softly as she felt their nervousness of her. ~Sorry.~ she though to them, then turned and dove back into the water. She came back up closer to Sora, and tilted her head at Harabi. She floated there, in the calm waters, looking about.

Harabi perked up at the mention of free food after all when you din't have a job and you are always on the move money and food are hard to come by. Also Harabi was interested to see how a dragon a creature of the skies would catch a fish, not that she doubted Sapphire's skills Harabi had full confidence in the beautiful dragon. Harabi hoped Sapphire would catch a fish that would keep well so not only could Harabi have a fresh fish but she could also have some for her journey. She was relieved to no longer be alone because the more eyes to watch for danger the safer they were.
Seeing Sapphire watching her Harabi turned and said that she would love a fish and was very grateful for the offer to catch her one. Harabi felt a chill breeze on her neck but thought nothing of it unaware of the danger lurking in the unnatural wind.

Sora laughed softly, and smiled. "I shall be right back, I need to go collect fire wood." she said, picking up her bow once more. She turned and walked into the forest, lost from their sight.
Sapphire grinned, then nodded. ~Your welcome.~ she replied, then turned and dove into the deep water in one swift motion. In a few moments she returned, several fish clasped in her talons. She beat her wings, rising out of the water, the droplets making her scales glitter even more. She set the fish down in the grass, so they wouldn't get too dirty. ~There, Sora will be back to help cook these.~ she thought to Harabi, a glitter in her eyes. ~But since you're here, can you reach this itch for me?~ she asked, laying her head down upon the ground. She was about the size of a house, small for a dragon. ~It's on my eye ridge.~ she added, with a hopefull look to her new friend.

Arilyne looked up as the elven girl talked to her. She nodded her chin in response, and continued to eat. She cast several glances at teh dragon, though, fascinated. She had never seen one, save for seeing a larger, green-gold one fly over her old village, as a small girl. But with every passing year, she became less certian that it had not been a mere dream. She had never imagined that they were so large! Much less so stunningly beautiful. She was surprised, when she sensed the stag's mind reaching outward across their corner of the lake. ~What is your name, dragoness?~ he asked the creature. Arilyne was a little shocked, hearing his voice reaching out to another being besides her. It hadn't happened in years. But it still osunded clear in her head. She was beginning to think that the mental connection betwen the two of them was now past the point where it could ever be broken, if she could still hear him as he spoke to another.

Sapphire raised her head, turning her gaze towards the other pair. She grinned, and rumbled a laugh. ~I'm Sapphire, and who might you and your friend be?~ she asked in return, allowing Arilyne to hear her as well.
Sora returned soon, carrying an arm-load of firewood. She set it down on the ground, beginning to arrange it. When she was done, she stood back, and then logs burst into a merry flame. She smiled, then turned towards Sapphire. "You could introduce me." she said feigning hurt. "I'm Sora." she added to the two. "Would you like some fish?" she added in Arilyne's direction.

Arilyne shook her head silently, and kept nibbling at her own stores. But to Sora, she spoke. "My name is Liam," she answered, trading her name for a boy's. Her lower voice kept up the charade nicely. She had to be sure her hood stayed up around strangers, though. Even her face, when uncovered, could pass as a young male's. But her head of long blonde hair would give her away instantly. She could have cut it years ago and saved herself the hassle, but for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to do that. So she just kept it braided, and tucked away underneath her cloak and out of sight. It wouldn't do, if someone, anyone, were to recognize her. But although Arilyne was short of words and worried about disguises, Barlin was not. He took a few steps closer to the lake, his ears pricked forward curiously. ~Pleased to meet your acquaitance, Sapphire.~ His voice in the dragon's and girl's minds was truly deep, and as rich as the forest itself. ~I must admit, it is strange to meet you. I've never met a dragon before. But from what I've heard from many others, they often stay away from places where other humans, elves, and the like would be. What might you be doing, out here, in such close quarters with the two-leggers?~ He said that last bit with an amused laugh.

Sora tilted her head slightly, though she was used to haveing one sided conversations, or only hearing one sided mind conversations. "Pleasure to meet you Liam." she said with a smile, then sat down on the bank of the lake near the fire, but closer to the water.
Sapphire curled her tail about Sora as she layed down upon the sand. She streatched her arched neck out a little and looked at Barlin, once more rumbling with laughter, though it was clearly audible this time. ~It's a pleasure to meet you also.~ she replied, then grinned and laughed harder at his question. ~Most do stay away, for fear of being hunted. Unlike the others, I'm one of the last of my race, the blue crystal dragons, so I met Sora and bonded with her. I'm pretty much stuck now, but it isn't entirely bad. Well, except for the fact that two-leggers seem to be able to get into infinite trouble.~ she added with a grin.

Arilyne looked up at the elven woman, nodding in return, still eating quietly. She had to admit; she rather admired her. She was more than free to do what she wished, and had no restraint with flaunting her confidence. Those twin sworsd were a piece of work, and if nothing else, the other female was better looking than Arilyne figured she'd ever be. Fair folk, indeed. Barlin bobbed his antlers up and down, his brilliant gold eyes laughing silently. ~Ha! Yes, yes they do. I blame the thumbs, personally. It's always gotten their kind in to all kinds of trouble.~

Sapphire grinned wickedly and snorted with laughter. ~I blame the egoes.~ she thought to Barlin, rumbling loudly with laughter.
Sora looked at Sapphire and rolled her eyes. "That's not very nice." she said. "Half the time you're the one that causes trouble." she added, a smile taking the sting out of her words. She leaned back against Sapphire's warm side, watching the others. Her bow and pack were a few feet from her, but that wouldnt stop her if she needed to grab them quickly.

When Arilyne had eaten all that she needed to for now, she slung her pack back over her shoulder, settling her cloak over it. She picked up her bow and quiver, before hopping off the boulder and making her way along the lake's edges towards Sora, mostly just following Barlin, who was also laughing. She self-conciously pushing a stray wisp of blonde out of sight, away from her silvery eyes. She looked down mostly at the ground, letting the hood hanging off herhead hide most of even what was visible of her face.

Sora looked up as she heard footfalls, and smiled when she saw Barlin and Arilyn coming closer. She was curious about the way she kept covered all of the time, but then ignore the thought. It wasnt polite to stare anyway. "So what brings you two here?" she asked.
Sapphire still rumbled softly with laughter as she watched the two of them. ~Make yourselves comfortable.~ she thought to them both, a dragocon smile once more on her maw.

"Liam" nodded bowed her head silently, and sat cross-legged on the lake's stony upper shore, while Barlin lay down near her, long legs tucked neatly underneath him, with his long, creamy plumed tail wrapped around his body. ((if you haven't already, ti would help to see Arilyne's desc. on the intro board. there's a neat thing about Barlin on there, that I don't want to repeat.)) ~Sapphire,~ inquired the stag. ~How long have you known your...companion?~ It was clear to Arilyne that the animals were getting along much easier than the two-leggers.
