(Mwahahaha!!! I already put out the fire ^^ Hehe) Sapphire nodded. ~I could look, though that might also give us away.~ she said, and then looked at Sora, a quesiton in her eyes.
Sora nodded to Harabi. "All right, sentries are a good idea." she said, and smiled at Wheryn. "I think that is universal among the four-legged kind." she said, then glanced at Sapphire. She sighed and then nodded. "Instead of Sapphire looking from the sky, I can scry for whoever it is. That might be less noticed."

"I'm Kith, a Sha'Dan if you haven't noticed," he replied, turning his head to look at Harabi. The prince of evil, didn't exactly sound like his idea of fun, he thought worriedly. Never one for hiding his feelings, the expression spread to his face. His eyes flicked towards the west, trying in vain to pierce through the canopy of leafy branches to see the approaching birds.
~Calm yourself Kith, you would do well to prepare your things.~ she said, nudging the small bag that he had been carrying with him.
~You're right, did I bring the berries?~ he asked as he rummaged through the scarce contents, unearthing a quiver of arrows and a small, earthenware container of bright red berries. Drawing aside from the women, he crushed them and rubbed the arrowheads in them, making sure every inch of every arrowhead was covered before closing the container. He placed the arrows back in his quiver and slung it on his back, returning the container to he pack.

Sora saw his worried expression, evidently he was a fairly open person. She watched as he crushed the berries, and then covered the arrowheads on his arrows. She smiled grimly, she at least didn't have to worry about running out of arrows any time soon. "What type of berry might that be on your arrows?" she asked, slightly curious, for she hadnt seen the actual berries before they had been crushed.
Sapphire also watched, though she didn't comment, much. ~As usual they would be lost without us.~ she thought to Wheryn.

"Extremly poisonous, and that's all I know besides how to identify them," he replied, "You can use some if you'd like, now that I've crushed them they won't last much longer."
~Yes, sometimes it's like watching over a boisterous young colt.~ she said with an air of patience that Kith, who was listening in, couldn't help but find amusing.

((oops about the fire, he he he))
"Well welcome to the party Kith Sha'Dan and yes scrying would be vastly preferrable even though I trust Sapphire's ability to conceal herself whoever takes the next watch will find me over there" She said pointing to the pines on the western lakeshore. With that she jogged over to begin her watch, as she began to mull over her suspicions about the prince's identity.

Once in her tree Harabi began to focus on the sounds of the forest, if she could aquaint herself with the current noises then she would be immeaditly be alerted of any change. Quieting her breathing so that the birds would feel safe once more she settled into a comfortable positition, It was going to be a long night.

Sora watched Harabi run off. "Alright." she said, then turned back to face Kith. "In case you hadn't noticed, I dont have any arrows to currently use them on. Besides my arrows are much more effective." she said, once more grinning, though it was more grim than before.
Sapphire nodded, still grinning. ~I believe what you say about that.~ she thought in reply, then looked after Harabi. ~They wouldnt see me when I am high in the air, though they would most likely see me taking off.~ she said with a sigh, then grinned slightly.

He shrugged, taking a cloth from the pack and called to Wheryn,~Stop your frolicking and come here so I can rub you down.~
Wheryn obliging, prancing to where he stood, stopping with a flick of her tail. ~I wish you hadn't lost the brush.~ she complained, eyeing him with one large, liquid brown eye.
~Not my fault it got washed downstream.~ he replied, rubbing her coat vigorously with the cloth, starting with her neck. The steady, rythmic motions soothed them both and the stressed atmosphere that they ahd felt building suddenly drained away.

Breathing in the strong scent of pine sap Harabi felt the calm before the storm the sweet feeling of peace before the coming reckoning. As she sharpened the blade on her staff she chanced a glance back at the others. From Kith's relaxed stance while brushing Wheryn Harabi guessed he was feeling the calm too. For now everything was calm the creatures of the wood were oblivious to the approaching death. The fox still stalked the grouse and pheasant, the deer still grazed in silence, and the ants still burrowed in the earth.
"Harabi thought to herself why me why now just when things were starting to look up, just when I thought there'd be no more suffering this prince comes to try and take it away. Who is he to try and destroy us."
Miles away the Prince paced in his tent the impending battle turning him into a child waiting for Christmas. Too long had he hungered for life too long had he wanted to take all the power he could grasp and crush all those beneath him but no others soul was strong enough for such acts, but now with the group by the lake waiting for him he was finally ready. Once he had killed them all he would weave the spell that had cost him his soul. Ages ago he had sold his soul to the darkness to buy immortality to keep his repulsive existence alive. for the spell to work properly he would have to murder anyone or anything and then using the spell retrieve their life. If he could get the lives of all by the lake their strength would last him a millenia. ((sorry it's long but I really had to say why the prince was after them all I hope it makes sense))

(( It's not too long ^^, and of course it makes sense.))
Kith slapped Wheryn on the flank, waking her from her half-doze. Her ears, which had been crazily askew, straightened up as she snorted in indignation.
~What was that for?~ she asked, laying her ears back half-heartedly.
~You were asleep Lazybones, I was waking you up.~ he said, giving a soft chuckle,~Besides, I had a question for you, but, alas I have forgotten it.~
~Foolishness.~ she said with a flip of her tail, projecting it so Saphire could hear as well. She trotted to the shore, where she could see the cloud of carrion.
Kith watched her for a moment before turning to stride over to the tree in which Harabi kept watch. "What do you know about this Prince of Hate?" he asked, his voice low. He stood at the foot of the tree, eyes focused on the forest around him.
